A micromechanical approach to predict the precipitation strengthening response of particle-hardened alloy systems, utilizing four experimental tensile tests to evaluate the required microstructural constants, is developed. The presented method provides good analytical estimates of strengthening in some basic precipitation-hardening alloys \((Al_3Li, Ni_3Al)\) that have a uniform distribution of spherical particle sizes.
