The construction of stable, rapidly converging methods for solving nonlinear degenerate multipoint boundary value problems is given. This is done via a quotient method scheme similar to the Lyapunov-Schmidt reduction [see the author's paper Mosc. Univ. Comput. Math. Cybern. 1995, No. 2, 8-13 (1995); translation from Vestn. Mosk. Univ., Ser. XV 1995, No. 2, 12-17 (1995).
