The author considers the turbulent wake behind a planar symmetric body in a homogeneous fluid. The flow is characterized by zero momentum. Some numerical results have been obtained on wake flow combined with the turbulent transfer of a passive contaminant (e.g., heat) emitted by a source. In the computations, comprehensive models of turbulent flow were employed, including, in addition to the equation of turbulent-energy balance, the equation for turbulent-energy dissipation rate and the equation for the velocities of average motion. The solvability of the problem is proved for zero-momentum flow.
