The theory of diagnosability of systems is extended -- in the framework of formal languages -- to a class of coordinated decentralized systems. Three coordinated decentralized protocols are presented that are capable -- under certain assumptions -- to diagnose all failure types diagnosed by the centralized diagnoser. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the diagnosability under the proposed protocols.
