    The author proves a result stating that the characteristic polynomial of an algebraic monodromy can be expressed as the times of the characteristic polynomial over its fibre under some condition. By using this result, the author also obtains formulas for the \(\zeta\) function of the monodromy, the Lefschetz number and the Milnor number of a function germ defined on an arrangement of hyperplanes.
