The paper is devoted to the construction of iterative methods for solving radiation-transfer problems in a spectral quasi-diffusion setting. The convergence rate of the proposed iterative processes is considered both numerically and theoretically, and the applicability regions of these processes are analyzed. For minimizing the computation time of the problem on the whole, an algorithm for the automatic choice of the optimal number of diagonals is proposed and justified for a particular variant. All conclusions are illustrated by methodical computations. The results of investigations are represented in tables and diagrams.
