The paper is devoted to the determination of the inhomogeneity characteristics of a local obstacle by means of diffraction tomography (DT). The scattering equation is completely linearized by introducing a scattering matrix constructed on the basis of the results of a scattered-field measurement. The results of a numerical experiment are presented.
