The authors suggest the model Boltzmann equation with a collision integral in the form of an ellipsoidal-statistical model with frequency proportional to the velocity of molecules. An exact solution to the classical Kramers problem of isothermal-slip gas flow in a half-space along a flat surface is obtained for the case when the gradient of the gas mass velocity is prescribed far from the surface. Numerical calculations have been carried out by using the exact formulas. A comparison with previously known results is presented
