Numerical solution of domain-optimization problems for a class of elliptic systems (Q1975776)

The paper is devoted to consideration the domain-optimization problems with an integral objective functional in which the state of the system is described by a solution to the Dirichlet problem for the Poisson equation with a constant right-hand side. A numerical method for solving such problems is proposed that is reduced to the construction of an improving sequence of domains on the basis of a special class of domain variations. The results of a numerical experiment are presented.
