The paper addresses a common problem of the boundary element method, which is the accurate representation/determination of the potential gradient near to or on smooth boundary parts. The text addresses the 2-D potential application (Laplace) using linear elements, is sufficiently thorough and well written. Also included is a number of test problems to illustrate the proposed procedures.
