The authors employ Airy averaging methods to quantum mechanics problems which involve Airy functions. They are used to verify orthonormality and completeness, properties important in the study of collision-induced dissociation processes. The new tool, ``Airy averaging'', is introduced in this work and is applied to a few concrete examples. The main contribution of this work is the application of these tools in modeling physical phenomena, such as producing a very smooth one-dimensional nanostructure of a semi-conducting system.
