The authors consider the problem of computing the rational parameterization of an implicit curve or surface in a finite precision domain. They investigate the behavior of published parameterization algorithms and device succinct algebraic and geometric error characterizations. Several numerical methods for parameterizing curves and surfaces are given and a numerical example, too.
