It is well known that there are exactly five distinct 7-vertex triangulations of the 2-sphere and that there is exactly one 7-vertex torus. In this paper it is found that there are exactly three distinct 7-vertex triangulations of the real projective plane and four such triangulations of surfaces with singularities (weak pseudomanifolds), among them two spheres after identification of two points. There is a similar enumeration with 5 or 6 vertices.
