From the conclusions: We present a scattering kernel for gas-surface interaction based on the suggestion of a shifted Maxwellian. This kernel leads to very simple calculations, with respect to previous models, and to better results for drag coefficient \(C_D\) versus \(T_w/T_0\) at laboratory energies, while the results for \(C_D\) versus the attack angle at satellite energies are similar.
