Using previously established three-dimensional general solutions for piezoelectric bodies of revolution, the authors investigate two classes of such bodies: the circular plate (or cylinder), and the cone. A series of analytical solutions is established under different mechanical and electric loadings, including the circular plates or cylinders under uniform axial and radial tension, in addition to uniform electric displacement and pure bending, simply supported circular plates subjected to uniformly distributed loads, rotating discs and circular shafts, and cones and hollow cones under concentrated force and point charge and torsion.
