On products of minimal simplicial sets (Q1977895)

The author investigates product structures on minimal simplicial sets. The author shows the existence of non-associative multiplication in a connected minimal simplicial set homotopy equivalent to a free loop space of a finite CW-complex and explores various properties of the same. Many examples and counterexamples of minimal simplicial groups are presented. The paper is an excellent piece of work on two-stage Postnikov systems and minimal simplicial \(H\)-sets. Under reasonable conditions there is a complete answer whether a two-stage Postnikov system is homotopy equivalent to a minimal simplicial group or not. The construction of minimal simplicial \(H\)-sets is very interesting. A strong point of this paper is the inclusion of a large number of important and useful results. In addition, the paper is clearly written and attractively presented. The paper will serve as an important reference to many researchers.
