This paper studies hemirings through the idea of falling fuzzy $k$-ideals. The obtained results appear to be straightforward consequences of [\textit{B. Yu} and \textit{J. Zhan}, Fuzzy Syst. Math. 28, No. 4, 23--30 (2014; Zbl 1324.16059)], a work that the authors don't cite.
