The main goal of this paper is to connect the subalgebras of the mod $p$ Steenrod and Dyer-Lashof algebras. The author defines a coalgebra map which is an epimorphism between these two subalgebras. Moreover, this paper is a mod odd prime number $p$ version of the author's previous work [``The \(\text{mod }2\) Steenrod and Dyer-Lashof algebras as quotients of a free algebra'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1811.03338}].
