On hypercomplex four-dimensional Lie groups, the authors, using the results of the references [\textit{M. L. Barberis}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 125, No. 4, 1043--1054 (1997; Zbl 0882.53047); \textit{H. R. Salimi Moghaddam}, Int. J. Geom. Methods Mod. Phys. 6, No. 4, 619--624 (2009; Zbl 1178.53043)], classify Einstein-like metrics, give harmonic maps, calculate the energy for left-invariant vector fields and obtain the critical points of their energy functional. Also, they give a description of totally geodesic hypersurfaces.
