The author defines the notions of degenerate curve, degeneration point, and nondegenerate curve in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\). Also, he defines a quantity \(\mu(n) \) for a family of curves satisfying certain conditions and handles the problem of finding upper bounds for \(\mu(n) \) as accurate as possible. He shows that the solution of this problem can be simplified in many cases of higher dimensions. In particular, for a positive integer \(m\) if \(n=2m\), then \(\mu(n)=1\) and if \(n=2m+3\), then \(\mu(n)\) is well defined.
