Summary: The authors analyze the historical share of various Open Access (OA) publication models in mathematics. They find the overall share is growing and that digital mathematics libraries, mostly operating through moving wall policies, contribute most to the open availability of math research until 2000, after which the growing share of ``Green OA'' (mostly via the arXiv) covers a significant part. APC journals (``Gold OA'') play no significant role; especially, their share in quality publications (core mathematics journals) is negligeable.
