This paper constructs simple restricted modules over the Heisenberg-Virasoro algebra from simple modules over certain finite-dimensional solvable Lie algebras, and give some characterization of the modules obtained. It also gives a complete classification of simple modules for a certain three-dimensional solvable Lie algebra.
