Stochasticization of solutions to the Yang-Baxter equation (Q2001957)

The authors provide a general procedure for ``stochasticizing'' solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation: to a given solution of the Yang-Baxter equation they associate a stochastic (or Markovian) solution to (a possibly dynamic version of) the Yang-Baxter equation. This procedure is applied to: (a). The dynamical Yang-Baxter equation coming from the fully fused eight-vertex SOS model; (b). The Yang-Baxter equation coming from higher rank vertex modules; (c). The dynamical version of the tetrahedron equation (a three-dimensional analog of the Yang-Baxter equation).
