    The author extends a regularity criterion of strong solutions of the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes system in terms of two components of the vorticity [\textit{D. Chae} and \textit{H.-J. Choe}, Electron. J. Differ. Equ. 1999, Paper No. 5, 7 p. (1999; Zbl 0923.35117)] to the \(N\) dimensional case by showing that \([N/2]\) components of the vortex matrix are redundant for that regularity/extension criterion.
