The book pursues three major goals. First, it develops a theoretical framework that could be shared by scientists in different fields, including physics, engineering, psychology. Second, it provides a sound theoretical basis for addressing key problems in measurement. Third, it aims to reach as many readers as possible, including people from different fields who may have different mathematical background and different understanding of measurement. One of the advantages of the book is that this book features two main new developments. Firstly, it includes a general model of the measurement process. Secondly, it uses a fully probabilistic approach which allows uncertainty to be treated as an inherent feature of measurement. The book contains three parts, 12 chapters, one appendix with a glossary and notations and an index. Each chapter contains their own references. The Part I describes introduction into general problems of measurability and uncertainty. Part II contains actual theory of the measurement. Part III contains many applications. The book will be useful for those working in the areas of measurability and probability and their applications.
