In the present paper, the authors determine two different types of homothetic motions using two different orthonormal matrices in the semi-Euclidean space \(\mathbb R^{4,2}\). In this way, they obtain surfaces which they reparametrize with bicomplex numbers. The theory of Lie groups is used and some special Lie subgroups are given.
