A discrete-time linear time-invariant system is considered. Tracking problems with rejection of the periodic reference and disturbance signals are addressed. A linear sliding function is proposed, and condition are found such that the convergence to zero of the sliding function and the tracking error are obtained by a suitable control law. An example is presented.
