Asymptotically flat Einstein-Maxwell fields are inheriting (Q2025812)

When discussing static or stationary solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations, it is commonly assumed that the Maxwell field is static or stationary too. This does not have to be the case, one can have a static or stationary spacetime provided the stress-energy tensor of the Maxwell field is so, it does not imply that the fields are. In this paper the authors prove that if the solution is asymptotically flat, then the fields inherit the static or stationary nature of the spacetime.
