The paper under review presents an approach to the time-fractional regularized long-wave equation \(D_t^\alpha u+u_x-\frac{a}{2}uu_x-bu_{xxt}=0\) based on the systematic use of symmetry groups, particularly Lie groups. Here \(D_t^\alpha\) is the fractional derivative of order \(0<\alpha\le 1\) and \(a\) and \(b\) are constants.
