The regularity of the obstacle problem for non-autonomous variational integrals with \((p,q)\)-growth has been studied, and under suitable conditions it has been shown that the solutions are locally Lipschitz continuous. In addition, a higher regularity result has been obtained for local minimizers of the obstacle problem for variational integrals with standard polynomial growth.
