In this paper, the authors provide new methods to derive and compute the transfer function (for comparing spectra in population models) for a continuous-time population model with a size structure. As an application, the authors calculate the transfer functions for the \textit{P. verrucosa} model. Some numerical simulations are provided to show how colony vital rates affect resonance in this model.
