In this paper, the authors introduce a new class of differential convolutional codes and show that such codes become MDS with respect to the Hamming distance. Moreover, an algebraic decoding algorithm, inspired by Peterson-Gorenstein-Zierler's algorithm, is designed for this particular class of differential convolutional codes.
