A quasilinear parabolic-elliptic system of chemotaxis is studied in balls of \(\mathbb R^n\), \(n\ge 2\). The reaction terms are of logistic type but with space dependent coefficients. For power-like diffusivities and chemotactic sensitivities criteria for existence of solutions that blow up in a finite time are derived.
