In this paper, the authors prove that the period function of reversible Lotka-Volterra quadratic systems is monotone, unless the associated center is isochronous, by using a criterion coming from [\textit{F. Mañosas} and \textit{J. Villadelprat}, J. Differ. Equations 246, No. 6, 2415--2433 (2009; Zbl 1171.34022)].
