The authors employ the symmetric scalarization functions to show an Ekeland type variational principle result, where the objective function is defined on a locally convex cone. As a by-product, they also generalize the Caristi-Kirk's fixed point theorem and Takahashi's nonconvex minimization theorem for locally convex cones.
