Consider the Laplace equation \(w_{xx}+w_{yy}=0\) in a rectangle. The author solves the boundary value problems when the conditions of the type \(w +\lambda w_y=c\) are given with constants \(\lambda\) and \(c\). The Fourier series expansion is used for \(w\). Different conditions take place on different sides of rectangular. Similar boundary value problems are solved for the biharmonic equation.
