Periodic interpolating-orthogonal bases of MRA and wavelets (Q2058356)

Assume that an orthogonal scaling function \(\varphi \in L^2(\mathbb R)\) with corresponding mask \(m\) is given. Then \(m\) is transformed into a mask \(m_I\) such that the related scaling function \(\varphi_I \in L^2(\mathbb R)\) generates an interpolating orthogonal system of integer shifts. By periodization, a 1-periodic interpolating orthogonal scaling function and a 1-periodic orthonormal wavelet are constructed.
