Using fine streamlines-based estimates, the authors study regularity properties of the free boundary for the case of the porous medium equation with drift. Essentially, their calculations guarantee \(C^{1,\alpha}\)-regularity for the free boundary position when the solution is at least (locally) directionally monotone in space.
