This article discusses a numerical scheme for nonlinear coupled systems of partial differential equations. The approach combines a finite difference method in space with an implicit-explicit method in time. Furthermore, the convergence of the numerical scheme in both \(H^1\) and \(L^2\) norms are analysed. Numerical experiments are included to support the theoretical findings.
