The authors gave a new derivation of the flow of metrics in the type IIA flow in symplectic geometry. This is better adapted to the formulation of the flow as a variant of the Laplacian flow. This was established by using the original formulation of the type IIA flow and projected Levi-Civita connection of the metrics.
