Following in the footsteps of \textit{O. Popescu} [Acta Math. Hung. 164, No. 2, 570--579 (2021; Zbl 1483.47086)] and \textit{J. Górnicki} [J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 19, No. 3, 2145--2152 (2017; Zbl 1490.54059)], the author of this note obtains fixed and coincidence point results for certain Lipschitz type self-mappings of complete as well as not necessarily complete metric spaces.
