In this paper the authors present answers to the following problem posed by Tom Ingram. ``Give sufficient conditions on bonding functions on [0, 1] so that the inverse limit is a tree-like continuum'' (see [\textit{W. T. Ingram}, An introduction to inverse limits with set-valued functions. Berlin: Springer (2012; Zbl 1257.54033)]). In particular, they generalize some of the answers to the problem given by \textit{M. M. Marsh} [Topol. Proc. 50, 101--109 (2017; Zbl 1370.54018)] and T. Ingram.
