This article is armed with new methods to revisit a result of \textit{T. Figiel} [Lond. Math. Soc. Lect. Note Ser. None, 95--110 (1991; Zbl 0746.47026)] concerning the UMD-extensions of linear Calderón-Zygmund operators with mild kernel regularity and then it extends the new proof to the multilinear setting improving recent UMD-valued estimates of multilinear singular integrals. This approach provides a new way of thinking in dealing with similar problems.
