Using infinitely many parameters, the authors construct a well-defined continuous nowhere monotone function \(f\) on \([0,1]\) whose derivative is zero a.e. with respect to Lebesgue measure. The differential properties of \(f\) are investigated and its set of maxima and minima and variational properties determined.
