The authors study the \(\Gamma\)-limit in \(L^2\) of a nonlocal quadratic functional, defined by a convolution, in a sequence of perforated domains. For this purpose, and related with the classical local setting, they introduce an original extension operator. The limit functional is given by a diffusion energy with constant coefficients defined through a nonlocal cell problem.
