This paper studies a model for the evolution of altruism in a spatial model. The model is defined on a graph, and the rates of change at a vertex depend on the states of the vertex and the vertices in some environment. Although the authors refer to this as a ``probabilistic cellular automaton'', I would, in view of the continuous time dependence call it rather an interacting particle system. Although there are some analytic computations in the mean-field approximation, the main work is numerical, rather than mathematical.
