Lieb's permanental dominance conjecture (Q2164167)

Summary: We survey the impact of \textit{E. H. Lieb}'s influential paper [J. Math. Mech. 16, 127--134 (1966; Zbl 0144.26802)], which introduced the famous permanental dominance conjecture. This conjecture has defied all attacks for over half a century, although a number of related conjectures have recently been resolved. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1491.46003].
