This paper revisits the so-called Bartle-Graves theorem [\textit{R. G. Bartle} and \textit{L. M. Graves}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 72, 400--413 (1952; Zbl 0047.10901)], which concerns the existence of a local selection of the solution mapping of a parametrized equation. The author presents a set-valued version of the theorem and applies it to variational inequalities and differential inclusions.
