Pure-minimal chain complexes (Q2177975)

In this paper, the authors first study pure-acyclic chain complexes and give a characterization of von Neumann regular rings in terms of pure homological algebra and give some results on pure quasi-isomorphisms. Also, they introduce the notions of pure-minimality for chain complexes of modules and compare it with other notions of minimality. Finally, the authors prove that given a chain complex \(M\) of \(R\)-modules, there exists a pure-minimal chain complex that is isomorphic to \(M\) in the derived category over \(R\).
