The authors introduce and study a new functional motivated by the recent work of \textit{A. Bahrouni} et al. [Nonlinearity 31, No. 4, 1516--1534 (2018; Zbl 1394.35178)] dealing on the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequality with variable exponent. The corresponding eigenvalue problem related to the new functional is also studied.
